MAC Blush Ombre in Azalea Blossom

Hi Dolls!
Today I wanted to talk to you about a product i've been using on a daily basis!
MAC Blush Ombre in Azalea Blossom was released with the Daphne Guinness collection that came out in December and it's a beautiful blue based pink with a gorgeous sheen.

This blush comes in the typical MAC packaging but instead of the standard blush size, it's a .31 oz compact that is the exact same as the beauty powders and foundation powders. I feel like bigger size is perfect to allow for an equal amount of both colors when swirling with a brush.

The cost of this product is $26.00 and can still be found at the MAC Cosmetics website and it might still be available at your local counter or Pro store.

------------------------------------------------------

This is literally one of the most beautiful blushes i've seen in a really long time and it's great for those girls who love pink blush without looking like a china doll!

------------------------------------------------------

The only other blush ombre I own and LOVE is Ripe Peach. I usually find them to be gimmicky and useless but I really love the mix of these two colors.

------------------------------------------------------

--------------------------------
Don't let the cute and soft colors fool you, this blush really packs a punch with color and offers a beautiful pink glow without looking too over powering. However, do make sure to use a fluffy brush to get the perfect application.
--------------------------------

--------------------------------

The MAC website describes these blushes as:
"A powder blush featuring a shade wave of gentle ombre hues. Ultra-fine formula provides the cheeks with flawless, medium-buildable coverage and lightly pearled, natural-looking radiance. Limited edition."

-----------------------------------------

What do you think? Are these ombre blushes something that you would love or leave?

Edith

A Day in the Life of a Busy, Busy Girl...

Hi Dolls,
I've been trying for days to get a blog post up on my Top 10 MAC lipsticks but the weather around here is sooooo dark and dreary that my lighting is not the best, thus resulting in just BLAH pictures. Now that I think about it, I really need to order some studio lights (as if my husband doesn't already think I own too my stuff LOL). ANYWAY, the point of this blogpost was to give you a day in the life of me and what I do on a daily basis.
It's kind of a huge misconception that because I tweet my little heart out all day long or I post videos mid-day (sometimes), that I must not be working nearly as much as I should be. Well, let me tell you my darling, that is indeed NOT the case. Let's start this out, shall we?

5:00 AM- Wake up
(for those of you who REALLY know me, this is also temp time)

5:05 AM- Shower Time
(I don't struggle to get out of bed, usually, and I take short showers!)

5:20 AM- Blow Dry Hair and style
(I have a video i'm going to be posting on how I blow dry and style my hair!)

5:40 AM- Iron clothes and grab some breakfast
(i'll usually have a meal replacement shake while I iron)

5:55 AM- Wake up Hubby
6:00 AM- Prepare Hubby's lunch and figure out what to make for dinner
(I usually have a sticky note every morning of things I need to pick up for dinner)

6:10 AM- Start my Makeup
(my favorite and most time consuming task LOL)

6:45 AM- Turn on car and finish my hair
(I set my hair so, I unclip it and fluff it up!)

7:00 AM- Hubby and I are out the door to get to work!

7:40 AM- Arrive at work

8:00 AM -12:00 PM- WORK
(I can't really tell you exactly what I do everyday but it's a makeup counter and I one of the manager so I think you can image the kind of things I do)

12:01 PM-1:00PM- Lunch time
(Usually when I tweet the most)

1:00PM-4:00PM- WORK
(My current work schedule is Tuesday-Friday as Friday night-Saturday Night are my busiest freelance days)

4:01 PM- Set up client lists and figure out where I need to go.

5:00 PM- Freelance
(I usually have freelance clients anywhere from 4-7 days out of the week, Monday being an all freelance kind of day. I work with a local photographer and will help with his clients. I also have clients who model and because I live in a pretty huge city, there's always something going on. I've done everything from magazine shoots, modeling portfolios, news segments, and theater productions to things like parties, weddings, quinceneras, and etc.)

on days where i'm not freelancing, i'm usually home hanging out, catching up with friends and recording a video. Sunday's are ALWAYS my day off... So MOST of my videos are filmed on Sundays and I just switch up my clothes to look like it's a different day LOL.

8:00 PM(ish)- Arrive Home

8:10 PM- Start Dinner
(it's during this time that I have my computer running while I watch videos to catch up)

8:45(ish)PM- Hubby comes home and we eat dinner

9:15 PM- Clean up the kitchen

9:30 PM- Prep my kit for the next day
(Replenishing sanitizer, mascara wands, cleaning brushes, etc.)

9:45 PM- Relaxation time
OR
If a video needs to be filmed or edited, I usually do it at this time
(which explains the lighting in my videos, right?!)

12:00 AM- Sleep

ALL OF THIS AND TRYING TO HAVE A BABY AT THE SAME TIME.... WHOA! :-)

I am really fortunate to be able to keep my cell phone with me at all times during the day, because that allows me moments to check and respond to comments, watch a quick video, tweet and even blog on the go (like i'm doing right now!)
I am also lucky that my husband goes home for lunch (he works 3 minutes away from home) and if I leave a video ready to just click "upload", he will do it for me (what a stud, right?).

Okay so that was a peek into my life. The days aren't always like this, some are more relaxed and others are more jam packed. I love my life and what I do but, I do want to make it very clear that I am a busy bee and sometimes, I can't always be as involved as other YouTubers but I have the very best intentions.

I hope this wasn't too long or boring and that you enjoyed the peek into my life!

Love and Lipgloss,
Edith

MAC Naturally Collection Mineralized Skinfinishes!

Hi Ladies!
It's been a long time since MAC has released a collection that I absolutely adored and before I finished working there (I now work for Bobbi Brown), I had already seen the sneak peek at this collection and I was beyond excited.

One of the things I was most excited about in this collection was the mineralized skinfinishes. I LOVE mineralized skinfinishes... they are by far the best products that MAC makes. They are described as:

"A luxurious velvet-soft powder with high-frost metallic finish. Smoothes on: adds buffed-up highlights to cheeks, or an overall ultra-deluxe polish to the face".

This collection had 2 re-promoted MSF's Blonde & Redhead that originally were released with the Brunette, Blonde & Redhead Collection.

P.S. Big shout out to my hubby for letting me swatch on his arms so that I could take a picture! (He is way more tan than I am)

Blonde is described as a "soft pink to rose degrade".

Redhead is described as a "gold to salon pink degrade".

Both of these MSF's offer an amazing glow to the skin and are an amazing addition to any makeup collection. They each contain 9g 's of product and retail for $28.00 each.

These are currently no longer available online but, some stores or counters MAY still have them so if you find them, do not hesitate to pick them up!

(Keep your eyes peeled for these at CCO's as well... some people get lucky and find them there)

Love and Lipgloss,
Edith

Maybelline Eyestudio Color Tattoo 24 Hour Eyeshadows

Hi Dolls,
So last week, my twitter was bombarded with people talking about these new drugstore cream eyeshadows from Maybelline. They are described as being a creamy eyeshadow that lasts unto 24 hours. Now, if you, like me, own paint pots by MAC, you know how hard it is to find anything that compares but, these products literally leave the paint pots in the dust!

The Color Tattoo eyeshadows are super creamy, VERY blendable, and do exactly what their name says: Stay on for 24 hours. Now, I know you might be thinking, "Who the hell needs eyeshadow to last 24 hours?". But aren't you more at ease knowing that if you ever needed it to last 24 hours, it could?

I have worn these with and without eyeshadow on top and they are amazing either way. I have found no creasing or fading and an amazing lasting power. In addition, I didn't even HAVE to use a base underneath. These babies are amazing and I would RUN to your nearest drugstore to purchase them.

These can be found at most drugstores and come in (I think) 12 shades. I only picked up the ones I found the most appropriate for my everyday looks. They come in 4 g jars and in gorgeous glass packaging that rivals the MAC paint pots. They retail for $5.99-$7.99 depending on the location (I got mine at walmart for $5.99).
